Role Description The Cosmetic RN is a part-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, WA. This position is responsible for performing and assisting with cosmetic and aesthetic procedures such as injectables, chemical peels, microneedling and skincare services under physician supervision and in accordance with clinical protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, assessing patients, obtaining histories, explaining procedures, and ensuring informed consent. The Cosmetic RN will provide pre- and post-treatment instructions, monitor patient responses during and after procedures, and document all care accurately in the medical record. The role also involves coordinating patient appointments, supporting dermatology staff during busy clinic hours, maintaining sterile technique and safety standards, and participating in ongoing training to stay current with cosmetic dermatology best practices.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington; BLS/CPR certification required.
- Experience or strong interest in cosmetic and aesthetic procedures (e.g., injectables, laser treatments, chemical peels, skincare therapies) in a dermatology, plastic surgery, or medical spa setting preferred.
- Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, safe medication administration, sterile technique, and treatment monitoring.
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities, with a focus on building trust, explaining procedures clearly, and supporting diverse patient populations.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively in a fast-paced clinic, and maintain a professional, empathetic demeanor.
- Comfort with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills; willingness to learn practice-specific software.
- Prior experience in dermatology or outpatient specialty care is beneficial; additional training or certifications in aesthetic nursing are a plus.
