Host
Michelangelo’s is looking for friendly, outgoing, and dependable Hosts to join our team at our new Manatee Ave location.
As a Host, you’re the first impression our guests have when they walk through the door. We’re looking for someone who is welcoming, organized, and able to keep things running smoothly even during a busy rush.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Friendly, positive, and welcoming personality
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable interacting with guests in person and over the phone
- Able to stay organized and manage multiple things at once
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Able to stay calm and professional during busy shifts
- Restaurant or customer service experience is preferred, but not required
- Weekend and evening availability required
- Full availability preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet guests promptly and make them feel welcome
- Manage the waitlist and seating rotation
- Seat guests efficiently while keeping server sections balanced
- Give accurate wait-time estimates during busy periods
- Answer phones and assist guests with basic questions
- Communicate with servers, bussers, and managers to keep the dining room flowing
- Keep the host stand, menus, and entrance area clean and organized
- Assist the front-of-house team as needed
