About the Role
The Portfolio Investment Analyst reports to the Chief Investment Officer and contributes across investment research, portfolio construction, and client portfolio management. Core responsibilities include strategic asset allocation, model portfolio development, manager due diligence and selection, and client portfolio analysis.
In addition, the Portfolio Investment Analyst will serve as the primary point of contact between MCM and Crusonia Wealth Advisors, a registered investment advisor serving high-net-worth individuals and families with investable assets typically ranging from $2-10 million. The Analyst will coordinate investment-related requests, portfolio analyses, and communication between the MCM investment team and Crusonia Wealth Advisors.
This role offers meaningful involvement in investment decision-making and direct participation in the firm's Investment Committee. This position is well-suited for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate as a member of the firm’s Investment Committee alongside senior investment professionals
- Conduct investment due diligence across asset classes, including manager meetings, quantitative and qualitative analysis, peer comparisons, and investment recommendations
- With the Chief Investment Officer, develop and maintain model portfolios across varying risk profiles
- Assist in developing investment policy guidelines and strategic asset allocation frameworks for clients
- Perform ongoing portfolio analysis across complex, multi-asset client portfolios, including allocation reviews, liquidity analysis, and portfolio recommendations
- Serve as the primary liaison between MCM and Crusonia Wealth Advisors, coordinating advisor requests, investment recommendations, and ongoing communication
- Prepare investment analyses and materials for client meetings and portfolio reviews
- Support onboarding of new clients through portfolio analysis, transition planning, and implementation
- Monitor capital markets and macroeconomic developments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; CFA charterholder or candidate preferred
- 4-7 years of experience in investment management, investment consulting, wealth management, or a related field
- Experience leveraging AI tools and technology to improve productivity and analysis strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and manager evaluation across traditional and alternative asset classes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
