Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Endoscopy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining a clean environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to assist the endoscopist.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations by providing necessary tools and support.
- Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and adheres to aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Document procedures accurately in accordance with medical standards.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain an organized work area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to endoscopic procedures.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to diagnostics and imaging.
- Experience or training in aseptic techniques is essential.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience as an Endoscopy Technician is required.
