What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sewing Machine Operator, Upholstery position at Michael Thomas Furniture, Inc.?
Michael Thomas Furniture, Inc. has openings in our Sewing Department for Sewing Machine Operators to operate . The position is full time, with hours Monday through Thursday from 6:45 am until 4:15 pm and Friday from 6:45-10:45 am. Pay will be based upon experience. Essential Functions:
· Ability to read and interpret production tickets.
· Verify appropriate thread for fabric style.
· Operate industrial pneumatic sewing machine to assemble product.
· Monitor quality.
· Record quantity produced.
· Inspect all upholstered pieces for accuracy.
· Apply custom trims as needed.
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledge of upholstery.
· Understanding of pattern matching.
· Ability to maintain seam tolerances according to style.
· Must have good communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
