Job Summary: The Inside Upholsterer is responsible for applying upholstery fabric to inside back, seat deck, and inside arms of high end custom furniture.
Essential Functions:
· Must have the ability to read and interpret production tickets.
· Ability to use all common upholstery tools to perform traditional inside upholstery of leather and fabric furniture of various styles.
· Must maintain high quality standards while achieving production goals.
Preferred Skills:
· Must have experience using upholstery tools such as: Scissors, Pneumatic Staple Guns, Staple Removers, and Regulators).
· Must have basic upholstery skills.
Required Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field
· Must be 18 years of age
Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne dust particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, hearing protection is provided.
Physical Demands: The position requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, continuous use of arms and hands, and lifting up to 100 lbs. Safety glasses and closed-toed, closed-heeled shoes are mandatory and must be worn at all times in the factory.
Productivity Requirements: Accurately complete a minimum of 7 pieces per day.
