Michael Surface solutions inc We are seeking a 4 to 6-year experienced, highly motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of tile surfaces, including floors, walls, ensuring precision and quality in every project. Your expertise will contribute to creating beautiful, durable finishes that meet client specifications and industry standards , we are strting a vandenberge air base new construction projects in 2 week ,

Duties

• Measure and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine tile layout and installation procedures.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials such as mortar or adhesive for optimal tile adhesion.
• Cut tiles accurately using hand tools, power tools, or specialized equipment to fit around obstacles and edges.
• Install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces with precision, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Apply grout, caulking, sealants, and finishing materials to achieve smooth and professional-looking surfaces.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the installation process to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other tradespeople to coordinate work sequences effectively.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly.
• Operate heavy equipment when necessary for site preparation or material transportation.
• Read construction plans accurately and adapt as needed for on-site conditions or client requests.
• Assist in restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged tile surfaces during remodeling or renovation efforts.

Qualifications

• 4-year Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in related construction roles with a focus on tile installation.
• Strong knowledge commercial tile installation and processes.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawing comprehension.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, chisels, saws; power tools including wet saws and drills; and specialized equipment for cutting and shaping tiles.

• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely on construction sites when required.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.

Pay: $44.98 - $63.38 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
