Overview
Established and growing Commercial Locksmith and Security firm located Hurst, TX is looking for an energetic individual to join our team. The ideal candidate would be personable, flexible, seeking to learn, a problem solver, and looking for personal growth opportunities
Responsibilities
- A/P – oversee processing of payables ensuring that all requirements are met before payment
- A/R – oversee processing invoices and track receivables
- Monthly Financial Statement Preparation– preparation of financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, cash flow statements
- Work in Process/ Job Costing – work with Project Managers to ensure WIP is accurate
- Accounting - perform general accounting activities, including maintenance and reconciliation of accounts including bank accounts, credit cards, leases, loans, insurance coverage
- Sales Tax – research sales tax requirements in various jurisdictions, ensure tax is collected and paid accordingly
- Licensing – Acquire and maintain licensing where needed
- Budgeting – management in developing budgets and comparing to actual results
- Record Keeping - prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
- Reporting - assist ownership and management by running reports and analyzing transaction details.
- Work with outside CPA firm to prepare taxes and other tasks as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Supervises: AP and AR Clerks
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar field
- 3 years of full-charge accounting experience
- Experience with computerized accounting systems
- Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
- Strong work ethic and team player
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Accumatica or other ERP accounting software
- High degree of professionalism
- Ability to work professionally with confidential material
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with various stakeholders
- Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skill

Work environment
Usually quiet and conditioned, candidate must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
Compensation
- This is a salary position, with a range of $55,000 to $75,000 per year DOE
