About Our Client

Our client is a well-established, mid-sized Design/Build General Contractor based in Minnesota, with a strong reputation in the commercial construction sector. Each project is staffed with a full team including an Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager, ensuring robust support and resources to deliver projects on time and under budget.

Job Description

• Coordinate all construction activities and subcontractors in alignment with the main office.
• Schedule and oversee agency inspections to ensure compliance.
• Interpret and apply architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings and reports from testing and inspection agencies; prepare and track RFIs.
• Complete daily reports and capture progress photographs.
• Utilize computer systems (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel) and manage PDF documents efficiently.
• Collaborate with design professionals, subcontractors, project managers, and local officials to resolve conflicts and drive solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site, enforcing safety standards consistently.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial ground-up construction.
• Deep understanding of the full construction process.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents, specifications, and drawings.
• Strong communication skills with all stakeholders including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
• Self-driven and highly organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to take ownership of multiple responsibilities to ensure project success.
