Job Description
- Collaborate with site leadership to shape and implement the continuous improvement strategy aligned with the Lean Operating System and deployment roadmap.
- Lead targeted transformational initiatives across critical areas of the site.
- Use Structured Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping to guide teams through root‑cause analysis, improvement planning, and execution.
- Enhance or establish tiered visual management and daily performance systems to strengthen factory oversight.
- Plan, facilitate, and drive kaizen events that deliver fast, lasting operational improvements.
- Streamline transactional processes to eliminate waste, boost efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Provide formal and informal training on Lean/CI tools such as Daily Management, Problem Solving, 6S, Setup Reduction, Kanban, OEE, and line efficiency.
- Mentor employees to deepen their Lean and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Challenge existing practices to elevate long‑term performance.
- Share best practices and benchmarking insights from across the broader industry.
- Achieve measurable, sustainable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Productivity (SQDCP), aligned with business goals.
- Support CI and Lean initiatives at other sites or in non‑manufacturing areas when needed.
The Successful Applicant
- 10 years of progressive experience within a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Proven ability to engage both leadership and frontline teams in Lean deployment
- Demonstrated history of delivering sustainable performance improvements
- Hands‑on experience in manufacturing or industrial operations with strong Lean focus
- Successful implementation of a Lean Operating System delivering significant gains in safety, quality, productivity, and supply agility
- Experience improving end‑to‑end value streams using tools such as SMED, 6S, Visual Management, Daily Management, and Standard Work (preferred)
- Lean or Six Sigma certification (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong, self-directed leadership with a bias for action and sound decision‑making
- Ability to positively influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Proficiency with advanced statistical methods and Six Sigma techniques (preferred)
- PMP certification or comparable project management training/experience (preferred)
- Skilled in Visio and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation abilities
- Strong analytical capability to define problems, gather data, and drive improvements
- Effective facilitator and coach, capable of building others' CI capabilities
- Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 Plus Bonus!
