Description
- Develop and refine CNC machining processes for complex, safety‑critical components.
- Lead tooling, fixturing, process planning, and optimization for high‑mix aerospace production.
- Create, verify, and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and CNC lathes.
- Support new product introduction through routings, work instructions, and control plans.
- Partner with design engineering to improve manufacturability and influence design decisions.
- Support FAI, PRR, and production readiness efforts.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and capability improvements.
- Mentor engineers, programmers, and machinists on advanced machining practices.
- Identify automation, tooling, and technology opportunities that elevate performance.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in precision CNC machining.
- Advanced multi‑axis CNC programming and CAM proficiency.
- Strong understanding of aerospace materials and machining best practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to ASME standards.
- Experience working within AS9100 environments and supporting FAI processes.
- Preferred: NADCAP exposure, lean/CI certifications, and machining of tight‑tolerance aerospace components.
