Job Description
- Act as the Voice of the Customer, investigating quality issues and leading root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Lead and manage AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) submittals
- Perform internal and 6S audits independently; support external customer and third-party audits
- Implement and maintain statistical sampling, SPC, and trend analysis to monitor process performance
- Support new product introductions by partnering with engineering and manufacturing teams
- Assist Quality leadership with the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop and mentor inspectors and team members to reduce inspection turn-backs
- Track, report, and post Key Business Indicators (KBIs) aligned with business objectives
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across inspection and production processe
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering environment
- Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industries
- Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methods
- Hands-on experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection processes
- Ability to independently perform internal audits; ASQ CQE certification preferred
- Working knowledge of ISO / AS quality standards
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced production environment
- Clear career progression within the quality engineering function
- Exposure to complex audits, customer interactions, and regulatory requirements
