Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all quality control activities on federal construction projects.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Control Plans.
- Review, process, and track project submittals and documentation.
- Perform daily inspections and ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
- Utilize established quality control procedures for all definable features of work.
- Coordinate with government representatives, project teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain quality metrics, logs, reports, and project records.
- Analyze inspection and testing results and provide recommendations to project leadership.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through the development of SOPs and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution.
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline; equivalent construction experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience serving as a Quality Control Manager on federal construction projects.
- Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification required.
- Knowledge of USACE quality control processes and federal construction standards.
- Strong understanding of renovations, new construction, site development, and excavation projects.
- Experience with project management and construction software such as RMS, eCMS, Procore, P6, or MS Project.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to military installations and security clearances if required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
