Job Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer (Aerospace) will be responsible for ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory quality requirements. This includes supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System, including internal audits. Additionally, the engineer will conduct gage R&R studies and statistical process control (SPC) analysis. Other responsibilities include developing and maintaining PFMEAs, control plans, and PPAP documentation, performing root cause analysis (8D), and implementing corrective actions.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. They must also have 3 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing, with strong knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems. Hands-on experience with machining operations and inspection methods is required, as well as proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and measurement system analysis (MSA).
A team player with strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive process improvements is necessary. The ideal candidate should have experience with internal auditing and maintaining quality compliance, as well as the ability to train and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with industry standards such as Mil Specs, AMS, and QQ-S is also desirable.
