Job Description

• Lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions within the facility.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems, policies, procedures, and food safety programs.
• Manage and develop the QA/QC team, including coaching, performance management, and training.
• Monitor quality metrics and KPIs, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate and resolve customer, supplier, and internal quality concerns.
• Oversee complaint management processes and ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct and support internal and external audits, inspections, and certification activities.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, FSMA, HACCP, GFSI, GMP, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, R&D, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
• Support supplier quality programs, raw material evaluations, and product specification management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful QA/QC Manager - Food & Ingredients should have:Required

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 10 years of food safety and quality management experience.
• 15 years of experience within food, beverage, ingredient, or related manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and food safety regulations.
• Experience leading quality audits, corrective actions, and compliance programs.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
  
  

Preferred

• Master's degree in a related scientific discipline.
• HACCP Certification.
• GFSI audit experience and certification.
• Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment supporting complex customer requirements.
