Job Description
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and CAD professionals supporting substation projects.
- Oversee execution of substation engineering deliverables across Physical Design and Protection & Control disciplines.
- Serve as Engineer of Record and provide technical review and quality oversight of project work.
- Manage project schedules, staffing, resource planning, and successful delivery across multiple active projects.
- Act as a primary client contact to support project execution, maintain relationships, and identify future opportunities.
- Direct development and review of engineering packages including design calculations, construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Support project activities through engineering, field support, commissioning, testing, and project closeout.
- Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices, safety standards, and continuous improvement.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Project Engineer IV - Substation Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or ability to obtain reciprocity).
- 8 years of experience in substation engineering with exposure to both physical and protection & control design.
- Prior experience leading teams and managing engineering project execution.
- Working knowledge of relay applications, commissioning, testing, and utility standards.
- Strong communication skills with experience in client-facing environments.
- Competitive salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000 USD annually.
