- Plan and manage daily production activities to align with demand, inventory levels, and delivery commitments
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and shop-floor teams to drive performance and engagement
- Ensure products consistently meet quality standards through effective controls and monitoring
- Allocate labour, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet output targets and control costs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput
- Champion health and safety standards, ensuring compliance and proactive incident management
- Oversee inventory management to balance availability, turnover, and cost
- Manage production budgets, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce lead times
- Produce and analyse production reports, providing insights and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards
Profile
- 5-7 years' experience in a Production Manager role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality systems
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities
- Experience using manufacturing and production management systems
- Highly organised with strong project management capability
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or similar
