Process Engineer - Manufacturing - Burlington, VT

An established manufacturer is seeking a Process Engineer to drive operational improvements across production, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of engineering projects, solve complex manufacturing challenges, and help implement best-in-class processes.

Description

• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and maximise output.
• Lead investigations into production challenges and implement practical solutions that improve performance.
• Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to deliver operational improvements.
• Support new product launches by ensuring manufacturing processes are capable, reliable, and scalable.
• Develop manufacturing procedures, process controls, and technical documentation.
• Analyse production and quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in root cause analysis activities and drive corrective and preventative actions.
• Collaborate with equipment suppliers and external partners on process and technology improvements.
• Deliver training and technical guidance to production personnel.
• Promote safe manufacturing practices and support compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work across different teams.
• Hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience within cable, wire, plastics, metals, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, PFMEA, and root cause analysis.
• Experience working with CAD software or manufacturing equipment improvements.
• Understanding of ISO-regulated manufacturing environments.
