Job Description
- Preconstruction Planning & Coordination: Oversee and manage all aspects of the preconstruction phase, from conceptual budgeting to final pricing.
- Estimating & Cost Analysis: Develop accurate cost estimates, value engineering solutions, and risk assessments for projects.
- Bid & Procurement Strategy: Lead subcontractor and supplier selection, ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality work.
- Client & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to align project goals and expectations.
- Project Scheduling: Develop preliminary project schedules and ensure alignment with construction timelines.
- Value Engineering & Feasibility Analysis: Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend efficient construction methods.
- Risk Management: Assess potential project risks and provide mitigation strategies before construction begins.
- Proposal Development: Prepare detailed preconstruction proposals, including scope of work, pricing, and schedules for client presentations.
The Successful Applicant
- 5 years experience with a general contractor (can include a mix of project estimation, project management, and/or field experience)
- Ideally seeking ground up, large scale project experience >$30 million
- Strong interest in candidates with MEP expertise
- 4 year Bachelors degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field of study preferred
- Advanced level degree preferred but not required
- Must have an outstanding business acumen and professional demeanor to manage client relationships
- Possess the team's values of integrity, humility, and self-improvement
- Software proficiency with the following preferred but not required: REVIT, 3D Models, AutoDesk, Onscreen Takeoff
- Salary DOE 125-165K
