My client is a U.S.-based automotive manufacturing and emissions technology company specializing in aftermarket solutions for diesel engines, particularly in the heavy-duty and commercial vehicle market.
Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer are:
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for new and existing products
- Manage the full lifecycle of new product introduction (NPI), ensuring timely and successful product launches
- Collaborate with suppliers to support tooling, fixtures, and equipment design and procurement.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards, production capacity, and cost objectives.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
- Provide hands-on engineering support to production, including troubleshooting and process optimization
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Production teams to align manufacturing capabilities with business needs
- Support internal and external audits, testing, and validation efforts.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, work instructions, and process specifications
The Successful Applicant
The Successful Manufacturing Engineer Will Have The Following
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
- Background in automotive, emissions systems, or industrial manufacturing preferred
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, ideally including sheet metal, welding, CNC machining, or similar
- Proven ability to work in a hands-on environment with a strong shop floor presence
- Experience supporting new product introductions.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
