Job Description
- Assist in preparing cost estimates for commercial interiors and corporate fit-out projects, including tenant improvements, office buildouts, and specialized spaces such as healthcare, lab, and life sciences environments.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for architectural finishes, millwork, flooring, ceilings, glazing, partitions, and other interior scopes using On‑Screen Takeoff or similar software to ensure full and accurate scope coverage.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and RFIs to ensure consistency across documents, flag risks, and clarify scope gaps-especially in complex or fast-paced interior build-outs.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, especially those specializing in interior finish trades (e.g., drywall, ceilings, flooring, millwork, glazing), to solicit and track bids, ensuring complete and competitive pricing coverage.
- Analyze and level subcontractor proposals to ensure alignment with the full project scope, quality standards, and target budgets.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing for interiors-related scopes to support future benchmarking, budgeting, and estimating efficiency.
- Track and incorporate plan revisions, addenda, and other design changes into ongoing estimates to ensure accuracy throughout the preconstruction process.
- Support value engineering efforts, identifying cost-effective alternatives for materials and systems while maintaining design intent and functionality.
- Use Procore (or similar construction management software) to manage documents, track estimates, and ensure seamless transitions between preconstruction and project delivery teams.
- Meet internal estimating schedules and bid deadlines; communicate proactively about delays, information gaps, or other risks that could affect estimate delivery.
- Support senior estimators and project leaders by managing the administrative and technical estimating tasks-freeing up leadership to focus on strategy, client engagement, and larger project efforts.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, consistency, and quality-ensuring all estimate deliverables are professional, complete, and ready for presentation or submission.

- Be proficient in Procore and familiar (ideally experienced) with On-Screen Takeoff.
- Be comfortable handling a high volume of estimates, bid packages, and subcontractor coordination.
- Be detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven - able to "grind" and push paper effectively and efficiently.
- Have the hustle and work ethic to keep up with fast-paced demands and shifting priorities.
