The Estimator - Public Construction Will
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for public construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary data and address project requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and industry standards.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and present cost reports and project updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with public construction regulations and guidelines.

A Successful Estimator - Public Construction Should Have
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation within the construction industry, particularly in public construction projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
