- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for drywall projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure accurate project scopes and budgets.
- Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate cost overruns.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to align with project budgets.
- Maintain accurate records of estimated and actual costs for ongoing and completed projects.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and present them to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry practices to ensure competitive pricing.
- Assist in project planning and forecasting to support the construction department.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry, specifically in drywall projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and cost structures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver accurate estimates.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
