Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and planting to ensure vibrant and healthy outdoor spaces
- Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, irrigation systems, and snow plows with precision and safety adherence
- Manage irrigation systems—installing, repairing, and maintaining to promote optimal plant health and water efficiency
- Identify various plants, shrubs, and trees to support proper horticultural practices and landscape design goals
- Conduct pesticide management activities following safety protocols to protect plants and surrounding environments
- Lead crew members in daily tasks, ensuring efficient workflow, safety compliance, and high-quality results during landscape projects
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or seasonal cleanups to maintain year-round landscape appeal
- Maintain all tools and equipment in excellent working condition through routine inspections and proper maintenance practices
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience in groundskeeping or landscaping is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, pruning, planting, and soil preparation
- Ability to identify plants accurately and understand basic horticulture principles
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair processes
- Experience with pesticide management following safety protocols is a plus
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Excellent communication skills for leading teams effectively and coordinating tasks efficiently
