Assistant Merchandiser

Who You Are:

Michael Kors is looking for an Assistant Merchant to assist our Global Footwear Merchandising team. We are seeking a candidate who is highly organized, energetic, collaborative, has strong communication and is results driven. We are seeking someone who can thrive in a rapidly changing environment, is curious and eager to learn.

What You’ll Do:

• Own Product Line Management (PLM) system attribute data entry and integrity.
• Organize and manage seasonal samples for showroom and market set-up.
• Manage Merchandising calendar with key development and market milestones.
• Assist in showroom set up. Partner closely with Visual Merchandising teams to execute visual global directive.
• Partner with Merchandising Manager/Director to create and maintain seasonal line plans and market materials, ensuring accuracy across all merchandising tools and systems.
• Communicate assortment updates to cross-functional and global buying teams in a timely manner.
• Aid in assortment planning by conducting competitive product and trend research, identifying future development opportunities.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with production, design, and global buying teams.

You’ll Need to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion-related major
• 1 year of related experience in Merchandising, or relevant Internships
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Working knowledge of Excel, and PowerPoint
