Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough surveillance using systems, patrols, and physical inspections to monitor all areas of the property during night and weekend shifts.
- Manage access control systems to authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Perform regular patrols on foot or via vehicle to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards, including heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when necessary.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures such as fire safety protocols, AED operation, or first aid administration.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity, security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events for record-keeping and follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when required, providing accurate information and assistance during investigations or incidents.
- Obtain permission for visitors as part of access verification processes while maintaining compliance with security regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in physical security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as cameras and access control systems; familiarity with security technology is a plus.
- Ability to perform first aid procedures including CPR and AED operation confidently; certification preferred.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively using conflict resolution techniques.
- Capable of tasks accuratly, safely; physically fit to conduct patrols and respond swiftly in emergencies.
- Excellent report writing skills for incident documentation; attention to detail is essential.
- Valid drivers license
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and compliance with security regulations is required.
