About The Role
The Community Living Senior House Manager is a leadership role that combines hands-on support with team supervision and operational oversight. You will guide and mentor Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) while ensuring high-quality care and consistent operations across multiple homes.
In this role, you’ll oversee 3–5 residential settings and help create safe, supportive, and empowering environments where individuals can thrive and reach their goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, coach, and mentor DSP staff across multiple residential homes
- Provide training, feedback, and ongoing support to ensure quality care
- Promote strong communication and teamwork among staff
- Assist with scheduling, coverage, and filling open shifts as needed
- Participate in on-call rotation and support daily operations
Resident Care & Support
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all individuals supported
- Oversee implementation of individualized support plans and goals
- Advocate for individuals’ rights, preferences, and independence
- Support participation in recreational, social, and therapeutic activities
- Coordinate family involvement and visitation
Operations & Compliance
- Maintain consistent processes across homes (purchasing, menus, documentation, etc.)
- Ensure homes meet all licensing, safety, and health regulations
- Monitor documentation, reports, and data accuracy
- Safeguard confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and agency policies
- Coordinate medication handling and documentation
Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Complete monthly reports and track financial and operational data
- Monitor staff documentation and follow up on missing or incomplete records
- Attend required meetings, including PCSPs and leadership meetings
- Communicate maintenance or facility needs to appropriate departments
Crisis Response
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, or behavioral situations calmly and professionally
- Provide leadership and direction during high-pressure situations
Tools & Technology
Senior House Managers utilize:
- Electronic Health Records systems
- Scheduling and communication platforms
- Medication administration systems
- Adaptive equipment and mobility supports
- Microsoft Office and reporting tools
Schedule
This is a full-time role requiring flexibility, including:
- Evenings and weekends as needed
- On-call rotation
- Regular visits to multiple homes

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work professionally with individuals, families, and staff
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Physical ability to assist with personal care and mobility support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD)
- Supervisory or leadership experience
