What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Controller position at Michael Coglianese CPA PC?
This position is for a part-time Controller, approximately 20-25 hours a week. The position is located in Bloomingdale, Illinois.
We are looking for an experienced CPA to help manage our business. Our main business is an accounting firm. This role does not work for our clients, this role provides controllership for the accounting business. The Controller must know QuickBooks very well. Business owners are CPAs so we adhering to generally accepted accounting principles and standard monthly close processes including reconciliations. We are looking forward to having someone to partner with us to drive efficiency to record business activity and provide analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Book all journal entries for all related entities.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit cards for all entities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly QuickBook financial statements in accordance of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Evolve our current manual processes for bookkeeping to automatic payments and reconciliations.
- Process payables with auto payments.
- Record receivables and create a daily communication process for managing retainers paid by contracted clients
Job Requirements:
- Must have expertise in using QuickBooks
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Experience in supporting small business accounting
- Ability to work independently and must be results-oriented
- Advance Excel skills such as Pivot tables
- Strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and organizational skills required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
