Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR / Admin / OSHA Compliance Coordinator to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role combines human resources support, office administration, and OSHA compliance responsibilities to ensure smooth plant operations, employee satisfaction, and a safe workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources (HR):
- Coordinate recruitment efforts for plant positions, including job postings, screenings, and new hire orientations.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records (attendance, certifications, evaluations, etc.).
- Assist with employee relations matters, disciplinary processes, and performance documentation.
- Support training initiatives related to compliance, skills development, and safety.
- Ensure HR practices align with company policies and labor law requirements.
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to plant leadership and office staff.
- Maintain organized filing systems, both physical and digital.
- Coordinate meetings, safety committee agendas, and plant communications.
- Assist in preparing reports, memos, and compliance documentation.
OSHA Compliance & Workplace Safety:
- Monitor compliance with OSHA and company-specific safety programs.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, SDS sheets, and training logs.
- Organize and track safety training for employees (e.g., lockout/tagout, forklift, PPE).
- Assist with investigations of workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Serve as point of contact during OSHA inspections and external audits.
Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in HR, administration, or safety compliance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with timekeeping systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Certifications:
- OSHA 30 (General Industry) Certification.
- First Aid/CPR Certification (a plus).
- Forklift Safety Trainer or similar qualifications.
Working Conditions:
- Split between office and plant floor—must be comfortable wearing PPE and working in manufacturing environments.
- May require occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs) and standing/walking on the production floor for extended periods.
