Michael Best is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Marketing Manager to join our Marketing & Business Development Team in the Chicago, Denver, Washington D.C., Austin, Raleigh, Charlotte, Milwaukee, or Waukesha office. This position will work closely with the marketing management team to update and further develop the firm’s existing digital marketing channels, including owned digital and web channels, while also implementing new go-to-market activities and initiatives, and opportunities associated with brand governance, content creation, and paid advertising.
The Digital Marketing Manager will balance a data-driven mindset with a collaborative and creative approach to planning, implementing, and leading the efforts to develop and manage marketing collateral, content, and engagement strategies in a seamless and integrated fashion. Our brand is an essential part of the firm’s reputation, and this position will play a significant role in driving our growth, external positioning, and success as a firm.
A successful Digital Marketing Manager will leverage an always-on, test-and-learn approach to elevate the firm’s digital presence and position Michael Best on the cutting-edge of contemporary executions that resonate with the intended audience. By forging cross-functional relationships with the broader Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team, the firm’s leadership, lawyers, principals, and other department leads, this position will help the firm to accomplish our primary goal of attracting and retaining business and talent and further position Michael Best as a top AmLaw 200 national firm.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Deliver omni-channel digital experiences that leverage the firm’s values, consistent branding, and key themes to execute effective go-to-market campaigns and brand awareness initiatives
- Lead the creation and implementation of annual strategy and quarterly campaign design
- Lead the creative development of a holistic, cross-channel (social, .com, email, etc.) content ecosystem in support of the firm’s multifaceted digital programs
- Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and communication skills to deliver exceptional results on-time and within budget
- Manage the Digital Marketing and Web team to ensure the firm’s needs are supported and executed across all pillars of the marketing technology footprint
- Manage KPI reporting of digital metrics across all channels, including ongoing and ad hoc reporting needs, to optimize campaigns and drive efficiencies
- Explore and adopt new channels, methods, and platforms to optimize marketing communications and improve client and stakeholder journeys
- Develop a deep understanding of firm audience segments and behaviors by performing research and analysis to keep up to date on the firm’s target markets and industries.
- Working alongside the firm’s Business Development team to identify marketing strategies based on region and practice opportunities outlined by firm leadership
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8 years in digital marketing role with demonstrated success in managing digital campaigns
- Experience managing teams, agencies, and vendors
- Expert in digital and social media platforms and technology, including CRM audience segmentation, email marketing platforms, etc.
- Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a passion for engaging and mentoring others
- Ability to excel in a team-oriented, detail-oriented, collaborative, and fast-paced environment and think creatively and independently
- Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
