Qualifications
Required:
- Previous experience working with dental insurance in a dental office.
- Strong understanding of dental insurance benefits, claim submission, pre-authorizations, and insurance verification.
- Ability to retain instruction.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using dental practice management software and electronic dental records.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding treatment plans, scheduling, financial arrangements, and insurance questions.
- Present treatment plans in a clear, confident, and compassionate manner to help patients understand their recommended care.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to treatment.
- Process pre-authorizations and follow up with insurance companies as needed.
- Prepare accurate treatment estimates and explain patient financial responsibilities.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records and documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Assist patients in maximizing their insurance benefits while maintaining compliance with ADA coding and documentation standards.
- Keep treatment plans, financial arrangements, and patient communications organized and up to date.
