Food Runner + Tips (Part-Time)

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English, Spanish is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to understand and anticipate guest needs.
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Must be able to frequently move freely about the property, withstand various activities such as frequent walking, and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and different shifts, which may include holidays and weekends
• Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke
• Be able to stand, walk, bend lift or carry a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned
• Must be able to work with others, communicate well, receive direction, and provide feedback when needed to achieve department goals and objectives
• Must maintain a professional, courteous demeanor toward work and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner
• Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness
• Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods

Responsibilities

As Food Runner you will utilize your strong interpersonal skills to assist the servers in ensuring that our customers have everything that they need, including serving food and beverages during busy times. You will use your attention to detail to keep the dining area clean by wiping down tables after guests leave and resetting the table so that each new customer has the same high-quality dining experience. The fast-paced and high-energy environment will challenge you as you play an important role in the smooth running of our establishment.

Guest Service & Food Running

• Deliver food promptly and accurately, using correct seat numbers.
• Support servers by running drinks and ensuring guests have all necessary items.
• Greet guests warmly and maintain a friendly, professional presence in the dining room.

• Communicate guest needs or concerns to servers or management in a timely manner.

Dining Room Support

• Keep tables clean, cleared, and promptly reset during service.
• Maintain clean and organized service stations, expo areas, and dish drop zones.
• Ensure supplies such as silverware, napkins, ramekins, plates, condiments, and water pitchers are fully stocked throughout the shift.
• Assist in maintaining garnish, sauce, and condiment stations.

Opening & Closing Support

• Assist in setting up and breaking down service areas.
• Polish and restock silverware, steak knives, and glassware.
• Refill condiments, bottles, and to-go items in accordance with FIFO and sanitation standards.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and workstations.
• Transport dirty linens to housekeeping and set up clean linen stations.

Safety & Standards

• Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free workspace.
• Adhere to company policies, service standards, and gaming regulations.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating clearly and supporting coworkers

The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.
 
 While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. This is a smoking environment.
