Title: Food & Beverage (F&B) Coordinator - Administrative Assistant

Miccosukee Casino & Resort is expanding, with completed projects including a new Smoking Room & Bar, a High Limit Slots area, and a VIP Lounge, all designed to enhance the guest experience. Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Flexible work schedule, including availability on holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain physical stamina and a proper mental attitude under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to frequently move freely around the property and perform activities such as walking, prolonged standing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restriction.
  • Must be able to lift or carry a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to work in an indoor environment exposed to environmental contaminants, including smoke.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: must work well with others, communicate effectively, follow directions, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism when interacting with guests.
  • Address stressful situations with clients tactfully and politely.
  • Must be able to handle supplies safely, adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and proper disposal practices.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Food & Beverage Coordinator is to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Food & Beverage department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of processes that enable exceptional guest experiences. The F&B Coordinator will handle various administrative duties, including scheduling, record-keeping, payroll management, and event coordination, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

In addition to administrative tasks, the Coordinator will collaborate with other departments, assist with F&B operations as needed, and contribute to the overall success of the team. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, and approaches challenges with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.

Administrative Coordination:

  • Provide accurate verbal and written translation as needed for communication with Associates, Guests, and Suppliers.
  • Assist with menu translation, design, and printing for all outlets and banquets.
  • Arrange appointments and meetings for the Food & Beverage management team and maintain department schedules.
  • Manage payroll processing, leave applications, and personnel records for the F&B department.
  • Assist in tracking and organizing team member records, including misconduct/disciplinary action documentation, performance reviews, and commendations.
  • Ensure Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and Amenity Requests are maintained accurately and securely.

Operational Assistance:

  • Assist in coordinating the screening and onboarding of job applicants for the department.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail for the department.
  • Support the F&B operations team as needed in delivering exceptional guest services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain strong working relationships and achieve organizational goals.

Confidentiality & Professionalism:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters pertaining to department operations, team members, and guests.

Flexibility & Additional Tasks:

  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the success of the Food & Beverage department.


The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.
 
 While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. This is a smoking environment.
