Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist customers with product demonstrations and provide information on features and benefits.
- Engage with customers to promote products and encourage upselling to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain an organized and stocked sales floor, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Supervise stock levels and assist in inventory management as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing customer experiences.
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus but not mandatory.
