This position assists the EH&S Programs Manager by managing documentation, coordinating training logistics, maintaining regulatory records, and supporting internal communications related to safety and environmental compliance. The role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on administrative coordination rather than technical fieldwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position is primarily office-based with occasional visits to the shop floor. Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment may occur during walkthroughs or inspections.

The role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on administrative coordination rather than technical fieldwork.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 13 years of experience in an administrative or safety support role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.
- Medium level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Entry level in basic safety knowledge and willingness to learn. Preferred but not required certified OSHA 10 or 30

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the implementation and maintenance of safety programs related to welding, grinding, metal cutting, and heavy equipment operation.
- Assist with safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Maintain safety records of employee safety training, inspection logs, certifications and compliance reports.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Ensure new hire safety orientation includes steel fabricationspecific hazards.
- Administer and track ReturntoWork programs for injured employees.
- Maintain safety data sheets (SOS) and hazardous material inventory.
- Serve as a point of contact for emergency response coordination and spill containment.
- Collect and analyze data on safety performance and propose improvements.
- Assisting with special projects, as needed
