As the Host, you will serve as the face of the venue and provide guests with their first impression of the establishment. The ideal candidate possesses a guest first attitude, strong commitment to service, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Be an ambassador for Mic Drop by meeting and exceeding the company core objectives and values.
- Adhere to all appearance standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Deliver excellence in customer service
- Escalate any guest concerns to management
- Ensure the company culture is visible in all aspects of the business.
- Greet and escort guests to tables in a gracious and professional manner.
- Interact with guests and fellow staff members in a polite, courteous and hospitable manner to ensure all guests have an exemplary dining experience.
- Control the flow of guests coming into the venue.
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department.
- Oversee daily restaurant reservations and pre-assign seating when needed.
- Communicate with management regarding special requests.
- Shut down the podium and reorganize the host stand at the end of a shift.
- Ensure that all lost items are returned to management.
- Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment.
- Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodate special requests whenever possible. Respond to guests’ requests in an accurate and timely manner, creating a positive outcome that will result in a memorable experience.
- Performs all sequence of service duties in adherence to all company standards.
- Ensure that company reporting systems are adhered to.
- Ensure all policies, standards and local laws are followed.
- Ensure sanitation fundamentals that are set forth by Mic Drop, local, state and federal regulations comply.
- Participate in teamwork and assist other departments when needed.
- Attend & participate in daily pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
- Assure the proper handling of VIPs. Protect their privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications:
- POS literacy to include Toast & 7 shifts
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle high pressure situations
