JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title:  Assembler                                                    Reports To:  Shop Floor Lead Department:     Manual Operations                                FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Assemble product using production order, drawings, marking instructions, standard and/or verbal instructions.  Work along-side other Assemblers/Inspectors to train and assist as needed.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)High mechanical aptitude/ability preferred.Knowledge of operating drill press, punch press, band saw or riveting machine.Knowledge of operating electrical toolsSPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Assemble, inspect, test, mark, and record per production order packet information, top level assemblies, sub-assemblies, or components.  Work any station, using the appropriate assists to safely build product as required.Prepares assemblies by painting, cleaning, washing, marking, deburring as required by the production order.Fastens parts together with identified hardware, fasteners per drawings and Bill of Materials.Operates air tools, indicators, overhead lifts, or industrial vehicles to assist in assembly operation.Installs gages as required.Bends and installs tubing as required.Perform other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 40 pounds.Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals. WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work environment is typically considered within a MIBA location during normal or extended business hours to include offices, manufacturing plants and repair facilities.   EEO:It is the policy of MIBA Industrial Bearings U.S. to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, color, religion, gender, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance veteran status or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local LAW.
