- Job Title: Practice Manager
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated leader to join our team as a Practice Manager. The ideal candidate will lead by example, prioritize patient care, and maintain high standards for staff performance and office operations. To thrive in this role, you must be patient-focused, direct in communication, and capable of supporting multiple areas within the practice through cross-training.
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing front office staff, and ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery. You should also be equipped to handle emergencies promptly and effectively, while continually working to streamline office processes.
Requirements:
- Proven management experience (required)
- Optical/eye care experience (preferred, but not required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise front office operations, with a strong focus on customer service at check-in and check-out
- Monitor and manage staff hours, payroll, and scheduling to control overtime and optimize coverage
- Oversee vacation requests, sick days, and employee benefit tracking
- Support and mediate staff concerns and grievances as needed
- Schedule and lead regular staff meetings and performance review sessions
- Implement and follow up on employee action plans as needed
- Collaborate with the Regional VP to propose strategies that enhance practice profitability
- Lead and manage in-office marketing programs
- Set and track monthly practice goals
- Ensure timely resolution of urgent or emergency situations
- Perform other duties as assigned
