A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance tasks in but not limited to: Carpentry, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing and Grounds.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspects buildings and other structures to determine malfunctions and accomplish repairs.
- Communicates and cooperates well with others demonstrating positive teamwork.
- Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures, wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses and minor appliances using the appropriate PPE, hand, power and specialty tools.
- Performs minor plumbing maintenance: replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices using appropriate PPE.
- Performs painting and masonry work preparing surfaces using a brush, sprayer or roller to apply paints, stains, wall coverings.
- Performs carpentry work including fabricating and repairing of various materials including wood, metal, drywall and plastic using hand and power tools.
- Reconfigures furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, and other equipment to accommodate the requirements of the company using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies, hand trucks and company vehicles.
