Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor has the responsibility to manage all project activities, action items, and general function of the project. This position is onsite in Pentagon City, VA.
Essential Duties:
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, staging, inventory control, and shipping.
- Assign and monitor workload for warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, safely, and according to contract requirements.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and proper documentation of government property.
- Enforce warehouse SOPs, safety standards, quality requirements, and compliance with OSHA and contract guidelines.
- Train, guide, and evaluate warehouse technicians and material handlers; provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Operate and oversee the use of material-handling equipment and ensure proper maintenance and readiness.
- Monitor workflow, identify issues, and escalate risks or discrepancies to the Warehouse Program Manager.
- Prepare basic reports, logs, and records to support performance metrics and customer reporting
Requirements:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Minimum ten (10) years of industry experience in logistics/warehouse management
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license from a state of the United States
- Active Material handling equipment (MHE) certified
- Active OSHA certified
- Active Forklift certified
