MTS is a professional & technical services company that provides customized technology services, logistics/warehouse management, nationwide-program management operations and inventory management talent across the federal government.
Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator has the responsibility to ensure effective communication and coordination between all project participants (including contractors, subcontractors, and government). This position is onsite in Pentagon City, VA.
Essential Duties:
- Monitor inventory levels and determine when materials need to be replenished.
- Place orders with vendors and suppliers for necessary materials and supplies.
- Create and maintain inventory records and ensure accuracy of inventory counts.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials to the appropriate workstations, departments, or storage areas.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Create and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure materials are available when needed for production or projects.
- Manage scrap materials and dispose of them in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, usage, and trends to management.
Requirements:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Minimum five (5) years of industry experience in logistics/warehouse management of at least one (1) project of similar complexity.
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license from a state of the United States
- Active Material handling equipment (MHE) certified
- Active OSHA certified
- Active Forklift certified
