• Create an organizational nutrition philosophy and translate it into standards, playbooks, workflows, service levels, and decision rights.
• Establish organization-wide standards while allowing for individual, cultural, developmental, clinical, and environmental needs.
• Design a connected player journey from onboarding through the Major Leagues, including affiliate transitions, rehabilitation, travel, and offseason periods.
• Create feedback loops that support continuous learning and improvement.

Drive Behavior Change
• Identify and address barriers related to access, trust, motivation, routines, language, travel, social norms, and environment.

• Embed nutrition into training, competition, recovery, rehabilitation, travel, housing, food service, and offseason planning.
• Guide evidence-informed decisions involving fueling, hydration, recovery, supplementation, body composition, strength development, and individual performance goals.
• Ensure clinical care and nutrition services comply with credentialing, licensure, organizational policies, and professional scopes of practice.

Lead People and Standards
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing nutrition staff across Major League and Minor League locations through structured mentorship, continuing education, professional development, and clear pathways for growth.
• Establish clear expectations, individual goals, and consistent feedback practices that promote accountability, development, service, curiosity, and continuous learning.
• Implement quality-assurance practices that support consistent care while preserving practitioner judgment and player trust.
• Build communication systems that allow relevant information to follow players responsibly across levels and departments.

Lead Strategy, Planning, and Resources
• Set and communicate annual department goals and priorities aligned with Baseball Operations and organizational objectives.

• Manage departmental priorities, staffing, vendors, food-service partnerships, and the annual operational calendar.
• Partner with the Culinary Director to develop and manage nutrition and food-service budgets, ensuring resources and spending align with departmental standards and operational needs.
• Establish standards for products, supplements, procurement, travel, documentation, and risk management with appropriate internal partners.

Qualifications
• Five or more years of leadership experience in nutrition, performance nutrition, sport science, or a related field, preferably within a professional, collegiate, Olympic, or other elite performance environment.
