Job Title: Staffing Coordinator
Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing the registry’s scheduling and staffing of all private duty (PD) cases admitted into the registry.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the admission and staffing of clients
- Processes client agreements and enters all admission data into the system
- Schedules and confirms all disciplines on the case and notifies assigned contractors of the date and time of assignment and reports pertinent information
- Schedules Nursing for all skilled cases, home health aides assisting with medications and insurance cases
- Updates and maintains accurate computer schedules for clients
- Schedules only independent contractors with up to date credentials
- Notifies and replace if necessary all independent contractors with any deficiencies with their required credentials
- Responds to telephone promptly and communicates to clients/families and other referral sources regarding registry sign-on procedures and services provided
- Assists with the verification of the time slips in the system
- Checks for accuracy to the time sheets and documentation
- Notifies contractors of any incomplete information and oversees corrections
- Documents all clients’ incidents as per written policy
- Follows all policies and procedures related to DG Home Care and Miami Jewish Health Systems
- Ensures that the On Call Staffing Coordinator has all the documentation necessary to follow clients care and schedules after hours and holidays
- Assists with the staffing of the Medicaid Managed Care Long Term Care home health cases and rotates on call as necessary
- Participates is committee meetings, department meetings and in-services as needed
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of staffing experience in home health care a must
- N/A
- Knowledge of ms word and excel preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task.
- Ability to maintain confidential information
