What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tree Trimmer (Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces) position at Miami-Dade County?
Minimum Qualifications
Eighth grade. Six months of experience in trimming large trees and other large plants are required. Must possess a CDL/Class B. A performance test will be given at the time of interview. Position requires working at considerable heights and operating bucket trucks and related power equipment such as stump grinders, chippers, and chainsaws.
Recruitment Notes
Duties include but are not limited to: operating equipment such as stump grinding, tree trimming, and tree removal, tree chipping, and groundwork throughout Miami Dade County Parks and Right-of-Ways. In addition, operating pole saws, brush chippers, chain saws, dump trucks and operating aerial lift equipment such as bucket trucks. Staff is considered essential employees. Work schedule Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm, currently located at 7998 SW 107th Avenue, Miami, FL 33173.
