We’re looking for a Radiology Tech who thrives in a dual-role position, where medical assistant responsibilities are the primary focus, with X-ray duties performed as patient volume requires. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy, learning new skills, and being deeply involved in all aspects of patient care.
This position is primarily a Medical Assistant role, supporting providers with clinical care, patient flow, and front office functions. When imaging is needed, you will perform X-ray exams in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
- Assist providers with procedures including:
- IV starts
- Blood draws
- Injections
- EKG/ECG testing
- Point-of-care lab testing
- Process specimens for Labcorp, Quest, and Vanta Diagnostics
- Triage patients by obtaining vitals and medical history:
- Height, weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, respiratory rate
- Deliver exceptional patient service, ensuring every patient feels welcomed and cared for
- Support front desk operations when needed:
- Insurance verification (benefits, eligibility, copays, deductibles)
- Confirm and maintain accurate patient records
- Perform X-ray examinations following provider orders
- Properly position patients to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Maintain compliance with all radiation safety protocols
- Ensure imaging equipment and exam rooms are clean and safe
- Accurately document imaging procedures
- Active Florida BXMO license required (or ARRT/GR/NMT equivalent)
- Experience in urgent care or fast-paced clinical environments preferred
- Strong ability and willingness to function primarily as a Medical Assistant
- Comfortable assisting with both clinical and administrative tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
