We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at our Miami Beach location. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience from the moment they walk through the door.
We have part-time/per diem positions open now.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Advocate: Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor, putting them at ease during a potentially stressful time. Actively listen to their concerns and answer questions clearly and concisely.
- Registration Expert: Efficiently register new and returning patients, collecting accurate demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance coverage and communicate any co-pay or deductible requirements.
- Scheduling Maestro: Coordinate patient appointments for urgent care needs, ensuring efficient flow and minimal wait times. Manage the check-in process to streamline patient flow.
- Communication Hub: Clearly communicate with patients, physicians, and other team members regarding appointments, wait times, and updates. Answer phone calls and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Administrative Ace: Maintain accurate medical records and billing information within our electronic health record system. Process payments efficiently and handle financial transactions with accuracy.
- Team Player: Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the front desk.
- Safety Champion: Maintain a clean and sanitized environment for patients and staff, following all infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced healthcare or customer service environment (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn new software programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingualism (English/Spanish) a strong plus.
- Positive attitude, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
