We are a passionate team of art enthusiasts dedicated to building a central resource for locals and visitors alike. We're looking for dedicated individuals who want to make a real impact and grow with us.
All positions are unpaid, fully remote, and offer flexible hours. We are happy to work with students to provide credit for an internship if your institution allows it.
The Role:
We are looking for a creative and tech-savvy Jr. Web Designer to help manage and improve our digital home. You will work directly with our team to ensure our WordPress site is functional, beautiful, and user-friendly, serving as the core of our community map.
What You'll Do:
• Assist in the maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of our WordPress website.
• Help design and implement new pages or features as our project expands.
• Ensure the website is responsive and optimized for mobile devices.
• Collaborate with the content team to upload and format blog posts and listings.
• Bring your own creative ideas to the table for improving the site's design and user experience (UX).
Who You Are:
• You have foundational knowledge of WordPress (experience with specific page builders is a plus, please mention which ones).
• You have a good eye for design, layout, and typography.
• You're a proactive problem-solver, able to work independently.
• You have a strong interest in art, art history, or design. We want you to be as passionate about the content as you are about the code.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
What We Offer:
• A fantastic opportunity to build your portfolio with a real-world project.
• Hands-on experience managing a live, community-focused website.
• A letter of recommendation and the chance to network with professionals in the art and non-profit sectors.
