What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Shift Supervisor position at Mi-Tech Metals?
Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals is hiring a 3rd shift production supervisor. The supervisor is responsible for communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Responsibities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to the Mill Products departments
- Interface with team members on a daily basis and act as the first line of command in resolving problems and maintaining efficient, orderly workflow
- Ensuring on-time delivery, management of the flow of materials/parts and control of inventory
- Coordinate workloads and department schedules
- Oversees and or conducts training of new and existing employees
- Accurate and timely production reporting
- Continued assessment of cost reduction opportunities through the utilization of resources to remove process costs, improve efficiencies, and develop creative staffing strategies
Qualification:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Associates degree in a technical field of studies or equivalent education. - Preferred
- Knowledge of Powdered Metals manufacturing or Machining background
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Two years of Supervisory experience preferred or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
