Job Summary
The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence across the organization, leveraging their expertise in engineering theory and design criteria to drive business growth and success.
Main Responsibilities
- Lean and Continuous Improvement:
- Implement lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and enhance efficiency.
- Promote continuous improvement by encouraging regular feedback, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Team Development:
- Build and lead a responsive engineering team to work with internal and external customers from project kickoff through delivery of equipment and support.
- Coach, train, and develop the engineering team from a technical standpoint, ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed for success.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical analysis, design guidance, and input on new technologies and regulations to set strategic future plans.
- Ensure that all designs comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
- 7 years of experience leading engineering teams.
- Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria, including principles of heat transfer, combustion, battery technology, and wastewater knowledge of process equipment instrumentation and controls.
- A minimum of five years' experience in progressive engineering roles in research and development.
- At least five years of leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
- Excellent analytical and verbal/written skills.
- Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing processes, material selection, and product testing in addition to sketching, layout, and drafting work.
