Compensation & Pay Structure
California Pay Transparency Compliance
This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Compensation is based on the type of work performed and will be paid in accordance with all applicable California wage and hour laws.
Direct Client Services (Contact Time) $39-44
- Compensation based on experience, qualifications, bilingual ability, and clinical performance
Non-Client Services (Non-Contact Time)
- $21 per hour
Non-contact time may include, but is not limited to:
- Clinical documentation
- Progress notes and report writing
- Therapy preparation and material organization
- Staff meetings and trainings
- Administrative or clinic-related responsibilities
- Parent communication and coordination tasks
Additional Compensation
- Paid cancellations are compensated at a separate rate above California minimum wage
- Overtime, when approved or otherwise worked, will be compensated in accordance with California law
- Meal periods, rest periods, split shifts, and any applicable premium pay will be administered in compliance with California labor regulations

- Overtime should be pre-approved by management whenever possible

- Closed Sundays
- Saturday is a regular business day
Part-Time Availability Requirement
All part-time SLPA employees must maintain Saturday availability as part of their regular schedule.

- 4 afternoons per week | 1:00 PM – 6:00 PMPosition OverviewMi Sueño Speech Therapy, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing clinical team.This position involves providing direct speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), in accordance with California SLPA regulations and supervisory requirements.Our practice provides administrative scheduling support, paid cancellations, and structured clinical coordination to support efficient service delivery and continuity of care.The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, professional, and capable of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities
- Utilize therapy materials, visual supports, games, worksheets, and computerized therapy programs
- Assist with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and software implementation
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
- Complete progress notes, treatment logs, and related documentation during designated non-contact time
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and in-service programs
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA standards
- Collaborate effectively with supervising clinicians, administrative staff, and families
- Perform additional clinic-related duties as assigned
QualificationsEducation
- Associate of Arts (AA) degree required
- Completion of a CSHA-accredited SLPA program required
Licensure
- Valid California SLPA registration issued by the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board of California(required)
Additional Requirements
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
